Tick Dragger:

To collect ticks for assessing lyme-disease risks, people drag large white sheets in forests and use tweezers to remove the ticks for study.

OK, not only gross, with a good chance to get a tick or two yourself, but I can't imagine that the pay is too high. I apologize to anyone that is a "tick dragger" and I have the upmost respect for hard work, but ouch. Not exactly my cup of tea! 

Does anyone think that they would enjoy this? Does this sound like a pretty hard job?  

Ok, since someone actually does this, who collects the leeches????

I grew up in New Jersey, ten minutes from the Geoge Washington Bridge.  I didn't know what a tick was until I was in 7th grade and moved out to Warren County, NJ.  Land of the cows and trees.  I was taking a shower after helping my parents clearing land all day (they were building their first house) and there it was, my first tick, on my stomach, I screamed, jumped out of the shower and started crying.  Talk about culture shock.  Ew EW EWWW!  WORST JOB AWARD!

You get those off with heat, right? Oh, I am sorry you had one of those buggers on you. They are sooo gross. The only thing worse in my mind is those close up shots they show you of bed bugs. They look like aliens when they do that close up shot.

GROSS!!!

yuppers they collct ticks, leeches  for meds and in charleston they actually pd for slugs   by the lb for slug soup yecchhhhh again med research   dont forget the roach growers yeewwwww  and  all the other nasty jobs out there the slaughter houses, the   sanitation dept jobs phewwwyyyyy    note wrinkled nose
