I don't care who you vote for, but get out there and do it!

Any exciting stories in your area? Anybody going down that you are going to be glad to see go?

I'm hoping that one of the most ridiculed reps in the house, JD Hayworth of AZ, goes down in flames.  We'll see.  It's not a party thing, as I am reg'd repub, but he is just a tool.

Yes, exercise your right to vote! But make sure you really know who or what you are voting for before you go to the polls. I have known too many people who voted on someone because they had a nice name or who just voted impulsively on a proposition.

So please don't do your children an injustice and read up a little before you get out there to the polls. Make sure you know both sides of the coin before choosing. ^_^

unfortunatly I didn't register in time to vote.  This time there are some local ones that I really care about.  we have the Stem Cell initiative and also a Smoking one that would increase the cost of cigarettes to add to the advertisement to steer our children away from smoking and stop smoking help.  I have to get registered!!

Just got back from voting.  I have to say I was a little sad that there weren't many people there.  That's one line I wouldn't have minded waiting a little longer in.

I am just glad that we won't have to keep watching their stupid spots on TV anymore!!! LOL

I swear, those campaigns are getting more and more ugly. This guys a liar, this guy didn't pay his taxes on time, blah blah blah. Like you can really believe anything that the other guy says anymore.

A sad reflection of what our political system has turned into. A rumor mill, popularity contest that is less about the issues and more about who raises more money and can attack the other canidate more effectively.

Truly sad.

I didn't vote, for the simple fact I don't like either one of our governor canidates.. they are both retards!!  I wish Barack Obama would be our governor... or Pres, whichever...lol  As for local politics, I don't know much about any thing down here, haven't even lived here for a year, so I will do next election after I know more how things are ran!

But I am interested to see the turn out of the Talent/McCaskell race in MO (being this close to St. L I see it all)  They have had some big time mud slinging, not to mention this could be a deciding state for the U.S.  So that might be interesting!

Best thing of all.. No more Political Ads!!!  YAYA

I voted!

Sadly, there was no line where I went either, but they did say that quite a few people had stopped by to vote.  Hopefully more will vote after work!

If it is like here in AZ - I went and voted for the lesser of the evils.

I had not paid any attention to all the ads that are running on tv here, however my mother from IL pointed out how all the commercials here are MUDSLINGING and DOWN GRADING the other canidates, instead of talking about there issues and what they plan to do.  After that, I started paying attention, and she was right.  It is sad that they have to hurt someone else reputation to make them look better.  Not one of them wanted to say what they stood for, or would do for us . . .

Was she saying IL canidates or all, because I noticed that big time with the IL canidates and especially with the MO senate race.  I told my husband that I wouldn't vote for one of them because he was personally attacking the chick and I wouldn't vote for her because I don't agree with what she stands up for.  And as for IL politics, I hate the current governor, and I am not fond of the other choice, so I thought about doing what my husband said and writing his name in and see if we could get him elected.. too bad he's only 24.  But this is the first time I haven't voted!

We made it out to vote and our son had his first experience with us (though too young to remember), this morning and I was glad to see a line that took a 1/2 hour to get through when the polls opened at 6AM this morning!

I voted. I love it. I wear my sticker all day! I agree with everyone about the TV spots. They're rabid, intentionally misleading, and not designed to shed any light on the issues. No one can make a truly informed decision based on these ads. It's our civic duty to research what these knuckleheads are doing on our behalf, tell them when they're doing it wrong, and fire them when they stop listening or betray our trust. Where these people are concerned, what you don't know WILL hurt you...

Cheers to everyone who made it to the polls.

Cool

I love to vote but I don't understand why we bother here in Arizona.  I have all the answers.  They could just ask me, I fill in the answers, and voila!  Think of the time and money that woudl be saved.

Seriously, it was easy in and easy out.  Sadly, only 240 voters of 1000 registered at my precinct had shown up with 2 hrs to go  I hope they get a rush, because if only 30% turn up, I'll have to drive to the hills and avoid humanity for a week or two.

I went early this morning (hubby and I were actually number 12 and 13).  I am in Wisconsin and we had some pretty heated state referendums.  My daughter voted at college, too.

I always vote, something I learned from my father!

I agree with you, Travis. Those commercials were getting ridiculous. I voted today. It was pretty crowded at my precinct. Good job, everyone.
